My work explores concepts of place, space, and community, and works to bring natural, bodily, geographic, historic and narrative experiences to the present moment. To me, creative practice is communal, and connections within a community depend upon our sense of being and place.
Through creative experience and practice, we grow closer. My work seeks to recognize these interwoven places of connection, and ask myself: how can I use my experiences to become a more humble, inclusive, and just community member? What practices in my life inspire radical de-centering, and cause me to look towards listening and learning, building and bringing beauty?
